Info and Rules
ROUND ROBIN
- Round robin games will be played in 3 stop-time 15 minute periods.
- Ice will be flooded every two periods.
- There will be no OT played in the Round Robin games and they may end in a tie.
- 2pts will be awarded for a win, 1pt for a tie, and no points for a loss.
- Each team will be permitted one 30 second time-out per game.
SEEDING AFTER ROUND ROBIN
- Teams will be seeded 1st to 6th within their respective tier after playing 3 round robin
games. - In the event of a tie in overall points, tie breakers will be determined as follows:
- Most wins
- Goals for minus goals against*
*For the purpose of the goal differential tie breaker, any given game where the goal differential is greater than 5, will be capped at +5 goals for the winning team and -5 goals for the losing team regardless of the actual final score of that game. (ie. a final score of 10-2 will be +5 goals for the winning team, -5 goals for the losing team and not +8 & -8 goals) - Least penalized team

PLAYOFF GAMES
- Playoff games will be played in 3 stop-time 15 minute periods.
- Ice will be flooded every two periods.
- OT will be played for games that end in a tie.
- Each team will be permitted one 30 second time-out per game.
PLAYOFF FORMAT
- Each Tier will have 3 playoff games, an ‘A’ Final, ‘B’ Final and ‘C’ Final
- Based on seeding, 1st place will play 2nd place in the ‘A’ Final, 3rd place will play 4th place in the ‘B’ Final and 5th place will play 6th place in the ‘C’ Final.
- Sunday schedule will be released Saturday evening. Teams who have the furthest to travel will be slotted in the earlier time slots where available. We will do our best to accomodate.
OVERTIME
- Overtime will be sudden death
- Overtime will be played in shortened OT periods that are 3 minutes in length.
- 1st OT period will be played 3v3
- 2nd OT period if needed, will be played 2v2
- 3rd OT period if needed, will be played 1v1
- If OT does not determine a winner, we will move to a shootout using the NHL model.
MOST VALUABLE PLAYER
- At the conclusion of the end-of-game handshakes, players will line up on their respective bluelines for the MVP presentations.
- One player from each team as chosen by their coaching staff will be awarded as the game’s MVP for their respective team.
RINK ROLES
- We will provide a scorekeeper and timekeeper for every game.
- Each team will be required to provide 1 volunteer per game to swing their respective penalty box gate.
- Home teams will be responsible for providing the in-game music. If your team does
- not have a volunteer to play music, tournament volunteers will step in to play music.
GAME PLAY RULES
- All games will be played under Hockey Alberta rules.
- There will be one referee and two linesmen per game
